Royale Ranch was founded in 2025 with a simple but powerful mission: to provide a safe haven for horses in need through equine rescue. What began as a place of healing for horses quickly revealed something even greater.

As members of the community came to volunteer and spend time at the ranch, it became clear that the horses were offering something profound in return. Visitors experienced a sense of calm, connection, and personal growth that extended far beyond the barn.

Inspired by this impact, owner Amy Mayer pursued certification in Equine Assisted Learning (EAL), expanding Royale Ranch into a space where both horses and humans can heal, grow, and thrive together. While our program continues to grow, our foundation remains the same. We are deeply rooted in small-town values—community, compassion, and connection—committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of both horses and the people we serve. 

Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) offers meaningful benefits for children, teens, and adults—including veterans and corporate teams—by fostering growth through hands-on experiences with horses. Through these interactions, participants develop stronger emotional regulation, enhanced social skills, and increased self-confidence.

By working alongside horses in a supportive and engaging environment, individuals gain valuable insight into communication, trust, and self-awareness—skills that naturally carry over into everyday life, relationships, and professional settings.

The first step for potential clients is a brief phone screening. This allows us to better understand each individual’s needs, goals, and background, and helps determine if they are a good fit for our Equine Assisted Learning program.

Our priority is ensuring that every person receives the most appropriate support. If we feel another service—such as therapy—may be more beneficial, we will thoughtfully guide individuals in that direction to ensure they receive the care that best meets their needs.
